Arima Nambi is an Fast Action thriller starring Vikram Prabhu and Priya Anand directed by Anand Shankar, another debutant in tamil cinema. He was an assistant of A.R.Murugadoss in the movies Thuppakki and Ezham Arivu. Drums Sivamani is the music director for Arima Nambi.
The movie starts with a groups of guys chatting in a pub about girls. And the heroine enters the pub with her friends, Hero meets the Heroine there and exchange numbers, go out for dinner and she takes him to her apartment, all in just a day. Ya this is a FAST paced movie for sure. In the next scene heroine is kidnapped by some bad guys, Hero chases them find out the most shocking reason behind her kidnap. Saves her from the unstoppable villian and what happens next? Ya, happy ending. A very regular and typical tamil cinema.
Vikram Prabhu is improving his skills from one movie to another, both in acting and in fight sequences. Priya Anand, Vikram prabhu and his friends give her a mark of 10 out of 10 in the first scene, I would give a 6 out of 10. M.S.Bhaskar does a cameo, a very unusual for him, totally different from his previous movies. Lekha Washington is totally wasted. She should not act in such roles.
Movie was good, if the songs were skipped unfortunately that feature is currently now available in theatres. The movie could have been made in a better way avoiding the usual things like the scene where the original evidence is lost and the hero makes the villain say that he is a murderer in front of a video camera. Aaaah Bore with this scene, people are seeing this scene since Rudhra,starring the legendary K.Backiaraj. But still the button camera trick is good. The thrill created when Priya is kidnapped, if carried throughout the movie without keeping the very normal and easily guessable scenes Arima Nambi would have been a Superb Movie. Still its a good one time watch.
